We have spaces for both 30 & 15hr morning, afternoon or all day places.
Please contact the school office on 01235 527600 or email office.2598@thameside.vale-academy.org to request an application form. Although we cannot arrange visits to the nursery at present, we can arrange for one of our Nursery staff to give you a call to answer any questions you may have.
Welcome to Thameside Nursery
Thameside Nursery is part of the Early Years Foundation Stage within the primary school. Children can join our Nursery the term after their third birthday. We offer both funded 15 hours and 30 hours provision. For more information on Government help with childcare costs and how to apply for 30 hours fund please click on the link. https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/ Children can be put on the nursery admission list after their 2nd birthday. To apply to go on the waiting list you can pick up the registration form from the office and return it along with the child’s birth certificate and proof of address.
The current Nursery Staff is made up of our Nursery Leader (Mrs Higgins) and our 3 Early Years Teaching Assistants. All the Early Years staff in Nursery and Reception work closely together. Events and visits are usually planned jointly which means children in the Nursery become familiar with the adults they will work with if they go onto the Reception class. The Nursery children also join the rest of the school for some events e.g. World Book Day, Sports Relief.
Please Note: Children who have a place in our nursery do not automatically move into our Reception class. Parents and carers must apply for a reception place for their child through Oxfordshire admissions:
